My Art work

My work takes a different perspective on traditional water colour art, using a range of media within each painting, such as alcohol and water based inks, drawn with traditional dip pens and various painting techniques and styles. My work is ever expanding with styles evolved based on subject matter, and I love adapting the mediums.

I am lucky to live in a place of great historic value, in middle England and am able to paint the surrounding areas, landscapes and buildings.

I basically sent a photograph via email asking for a painting of my horse and was totally amazed with the result, so much so my local stables and family bought a print (which I requested) and of all the commissions I have had from other artists I hands down love this the most!

I never thought to commission someone for a painting but, I'm an electrician and was working on a prolonged job in Fred James' house. I had never seen an artist work and was totally impressed by his paintings. So I commissioned a painting of the bridge of sighs in Oxford, in exchange for ALL of my work, which was well in excess of the £700 for an A3 painting, He got a better deal but the painting is amazing, I'm/we are very happy!

I'm a fisherman and as always proud of the biggest catch (PB) and so commissioned a pencil drawing of myself said catch. Really impressed, next PB will definitely commission painting, even made a space for it, now to get fishing!
